And with it, I’m coming out of hibernation. I’ve been doing a good deal of event photographs lately and had the great fortune to photograph some amazing performances. But, my art shots have been hiding. I felt it happen as the light started leaving this fall. I’ve had a lot of ideas floating around in my head, but just no real urge to capture them quite yet. I caught these few shots today and thought I’d share. I love these branches, and know that they’ll keep flowering and soon I’ll be drinking glasses of wine in their shade. In May they drop their petals and the back yard is carpeted in white.

I have a huge backlog of photos to go through and edit right now, so what am I doing? Taking the dog to the river and ignoring all the stuff I have to edit.
