While walking my dog the other day I came across this adding machine. Well, I think it’s an adding machine. It’s heavy, it has number keys, and I don’t have any idea how it works. I think it’s lovely nonetheless.

Just a little post today. The first one is of my best friend Rat. The second was taken out my car window at the intersection that may as well be the gateway to my life. There are many routes to coffee, and to work but for some reason I always take this one. On an average day I’m probably at this intersection 4 times. Anyway, little blog post here you go…

Today was one of those days where you have to take the good with the bad. My laundromat fixed a bunch of machines: Good. The fixed machines were so hot my clothes got burned: Bad. I finally got to a site that I’ve been meaning to photograph: Good. There were a ton of cars and moving trucks in my shot: Bad. I found some shots anyway and the turned out nice: Good. It also turns out that my sensor is covered in dust: Bad.

But I wanted to get some shots up here anyway, rain and dust spots and all. So here’s to you HDR day!

Since moving to Eugene I’ve done several firedancer shoots. Eugene has an amazing community of these artists, and if you get the chance you should check them out. It seems there are performances at every artwalk, and I believe there are performances at Samuri Duck every Monday night. Generally, I edit these in color but I was noticing the lines of the dancers bodies and thought about putting them into black and white. I love how some of these turned out, and thought I’d share. I’m looking forward to working with these artists again this summer.
