My ears are still ringing, and I was processing photos until the wee
hours of the morning. I truely love shooting live bands and these guys
are the reason why. Station Wag are heavy, dramatic, melodic, fun to
watch and they seem to be having a blast up there. They have
everything, a hot chick singer with a drop dead beautiful voice, a hard
hitting drummer, a guitar player with flair and rhythm strings
headbanging in unison while beating the shit out of their instruments.
Oh rock, I love you. I generally try to stick to three or less photos
per posting, but I simply couldn’t pick three. Have patience, it’ll
load eventually. While waiting you could open this link (in another
window) www.myspace.com/stationwag and if you are
interested in seeing more of the Station Wag shoot check out

In case you are wondering, Eugene has a ton of people who like to play with fire. It’s pretty amazing. These photos are from a party that Apocalyptica Fire Factory performed at. AFF can be found at  http://www.myspace.com/apocalypticafirefactory

This picture was taken just moments before that whip sprayed flames on little ol’ me! It was very scary and I decided that I never want to burn to death in a firey inferno. But, I suppose you don’t see Shamu and not expect to get wet so you don’t hide in a dark corner with a camera right next to crazy cats with flames and throw a fit when you get lit on fire.

Do you think flames come out his nose when he sneezes?

For a bunch more photos of the entire party go ahead and check out the slideshow at http://gretchendrewphotography.com/october18.html

After looking through some blog posts, my friend April had to ask why I was doing my laundry in a 50’s laundromat. This one is for you April. I do my grocery shopping in 1974. In 1974 October is apparently time to BBQ. Again.

I have a huge backlog of photos to go through and edit right now, so what am I doing? Taking the dog to the river and ignoring all the stuff I have to edit. It’ll still be there, but this lovely day is only going to happen once. In fact, shortly after Mazi and I got back it started pouring. So there. Procrastination 1, Working 0.
